3 years ago we launched our popular and award winning tomtomfree.com website. Over this time we had a number of enquiries from owners of other satellite devices asking if our high quality point of interest data sets could be issued in other formats. In response to this we have launched GARMINFREE.COM.

The number of satellite devices continues to grow, and with low quality cut-price POI data on ebay things have never been more confusing.

Our aim is simple - to provide the best, fullest, most accurate quality POI sets. We have an established track record of providing this data to end users for free. Indeed you can download 20 POI sets from this site without charge. Like any business though we need to make some money and so this is how it works.

Our offering is simple - you can download and use up to 20 of the POI sets absolutely free. Try them out and see the quality and reliability of our data. Should you want more POI's then you can buy our disk of over 100 POI sets. This will save you a lot of time and effort, downloading different files, sorting them and trying to locate them on this and other various "free" sites.

All of the newer Garmin models support our POI's as well a many of the older models. Garmin realised that being able to support 3rd party POI was an essential feature and so created POI Loader to let users load their own POI into the units.

As a market leader and innovator they have quickly added this feature and it will soon be integrated even better into their new software releases. We at GARMINFREE.COM support all devices that allow additional points of interest to be loaded.

To be able to add these "Points of Interest" to your device you will need some free software that runs on your computer and actually "installs" them to the Garmin. This is called POI Loader, is Garmins own tool (so you know its approved) and can be downloaded from them for free.

We suggest that you download the latest copy from here: GARMIN POI LOADER.

There have been a number of changes to this loader and its best to have the most up to date copy on your computer.

All the models listed above work with our "Point of Interest" (POI) data sets.

If your model isn't listed and its a recent model, then it may be we just haven't tested it yet. You can look HERE to check on Garmins site.
